The outer surfaces have been freshly polished and the inner surfaces, that would come in contact with food, have been recently tinned for you to put it to immediate use.

The outer brass surface can be kept as sparklingly polished as new, by scrubbing with tamarind, lemon wedges or Pitambari, (a brass/copper polishing detergent, easily available) .the inner surfaces can be kept hygienically clean by scrubbing with regular dish washing detergent.The product is strong and sturdy and has withstood many hundreds of such washes.
